Aides of NDFB leader also involved in various crimes: Bidari

The four persons, arrested along with outlawed National Democratic Front of Bodoloand leader B Jangila here, were allegedly involved in criminal activities such as murder and extortion, a top police official said Friday.

"According to information we have received from the Assam
police today, all the four aides of Jangila, leader of the
banned militant outfit in Assam, were allegedly involved in
various crimes, including murder and extortion. However, we
are yet to receive the details about the crimes of these
four," City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari told reporters
here.

The five were arrested yesterday after a tip-off.

"All the five members of NDFB are in the custody of
Bangalore police till the arrival of police team from Assam.
It (team) is expected to arrive soon," Bidari added.
