Bangalore: Karnataka High Court on thursday directed
its registry to post the bail application of former state
Information Commissioner H N Krishna, arrested on allegations
of malpractices in the state Public Service Commission
selection process, before an appropriate bench.
When the application came up for hearing before Justice B
V Pinto, he referred to a recent circular of the high court,
according to which the judge who has granted anticipatory bail
to the other three accused in the case must hear the regular
bail application also.
It may be noted that Justice H Billappa had recently
granted anticipatory bail to three others accused in the case.
Krishna, allegedly involved in irregularities and
malpractices in selection of gazetted probationers during his
tenure as KPSC chairman was remanded to judicial custody by a
local court on October 12.
