Bangalore realtor arrested for lover`s murder

Bangalore: A realtor has been arrested for allegedly strangulating the woman whom he loved and was to marry, police said on Thursday.

The 27-year-old man, who was detained on Wednesday night for questioning, told police he murdered the woman, who he was to marry in a temple earlier yesterday, in a "fit of rage" after an heated argument. The 25-year-old woman belonged to the washerman community, while the man to a higher caste. The woman`s parents had given their consent for the marriage, while the man`s family was against the alliance. The man was on Thursday produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, which remanded him to police custody. PTI
