BDA carries out demolition of unauthorised constructions

Bangalore Development Authority has carried out demolition of unauthorised construction in 50 cases with more than 154 acres valued at Rs 1105.81 crore since January last year.

carried out demolition of unauthorised construction in 50
cases with more than 154 acres valued at Rs 1105.81 crore
since January last year.

Layouts are being formed on these areas and sites allotted
through public auction or some times as per the Government`s
directions, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa told the
Legislative Assembly Tuesday.

Responding to a question from Ramalinga Reddy (Congress),
he said in the recovered lands having no legal impediments,
about 815 sites of various dimensions have been formed.

"164 sites have been disposed of out of which 129 sites
have been allotted and 35 sites have been auctioned",
Yeddyurappa said.

The allotted sites comprise 90 ones to allottees for whom
physical possession was not given.Proposal of 287 sites for
auctioning is under process.Other sites would be disposed of
after clearing the legal impediments which have cropped up
after the formation of layouts, he said.
