Bengaluru: A week after the Bengaluru ATM cash heist, the city police on Tuesday arrested the main culprit and van driver Dominic Selvaraj Roy, who had fled away with Rs 1.37 crore.
He was arrested from KR Puram area in Bengaluru.
Dominic, who was employed as the van driver of a logistics agency had driven away on November 24 with Rs 1.37 crore cash collected from bank, when two other employees had gone to attend the nature's call.
Yesterday, the police had arrested Dominic's wife Evelyn from a hideout at Banaswadi in Bengaluru and had recovered Rs 79.8 lakh from her.
A day after the heist, the van, which was used by Dominic during the heist was found abandoned at Vasanthnagar in the city. The police found Rs 45 lakh, all in Rs 2,000 denomination notes, and a rifle lying untouched in the van.
