Bengaluru: The Youth Congress staged a protest over the religious conversion row in Bengaluru on Monday.
Earlier today, opposition parties, including the Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Janata Dal had staged a protest against the government in Parliament over black money and religious conversions.
According to reports, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday converted about 200 tribal Christians to Hinduism at Aranai village in Gujarat's Valsad district.
Earlier this month, around 200 people were reportedly converted to Hinduism in a ceremony in Agra by groups linked to the BJP's ideological mentor RSS, sparking a major row.
