`BJP leaders outside K`taka gripped in corruption`

Hyderabad and Nagpur are involved in corruption cases in Karnataka, JD (S) on Wednesday asked it to come clean on the charges leveled against it.

New Delhi: Alleging that BJP`s top
leaders from Bangalore, Hyderabad and Nagpur are involved in
corruption cases in Karnataka, JD (S) on Wednesday asked it to come clean on the charges leveled against it.

Demanding a probe in the alleged cases of scams
committed by state Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to favour
his relatives, JD (S) state president H D Kumarswamy today
alleged that the BJP`s rule has turned Karnataka into the most
corrupt state in the country.

"I want BJP leader`s reaction on this. From Bangalore
to Hyderabad to Nagpur, every top BJP leader is involved in
it," he said here.

Interacting with the reporters, Kumarswamy furnished
documents related to the alleged scams dating back to 2006,
when Yeddyurappa served as the Deputy Chief Minister and
Finance Minister of the state.

"All the big fishes in the BJP who have got several
thousands in their accounts will be exposed if an inquiry is
ordered," he added.

He alleged Yeddyurappa committed a scam of Rs 1500
crore by illegally waiving off interest money from a company
during its liquidation. He further added that the same company
was later taken over by another business enterprise run by his
relatives.

Accepting Yeddyurappa`s challenge to swear before Lord
Manjunatha of Dharmasthala there as a testimony for his
allegations that he was offered money by the former to keep
these cases under wraps, Kumarswamy said he will visit the
temple, otherwise his integrity would come under doubt.

"I am going (to Dharmasthala). Otherwise people will
think I am not serious. I have to go," he said.
