Congress constitutes Karnataka state committee

Congress on Wednesday night constituted the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee with 10 Vice Presidents, 20 general secretaries, 36 secretaries and a 40-member PCC executive.

New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday night constituted
the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee with 10 Vice
Presidents, 20 general secretaries, 36 secretaries and a
40-member PCC executive.
While G Parmeshwara has already been appointed the PCC
President, Vice Presidents include B L Shankar, Roshan Beg and
Rani Satish, while Shamanur Shivshankarappa is the treasurer.

Former Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar, former ministers H K
Patil, D K Shivkumar H M Revanna and Sageer Ahmed are
prominent among those in the executive.

CWC members and AICC office-bearers including B K
Hariprasad, Oscar Fernandes as also Union Ministers S M
Krishna, M Veerappa Moily, Mallikarjun Kharge, K H Muniappa
and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha K Rahman Khan are
ex-officio members. Former Chief Ministers and former PCC
Presidents are also ex-officio members.
A 13-member coordination committee headed by AICC
general secretary Madhusudan Mistri has also been constituted.
A nine-member Pradesh election committee headed by Parmeshwara
has also been announced. The announcement was made by AICC
general secretary Janardan Dwivedi.
