The party also brought out a booklet on its contribution to the nation in the last 125 years.

Bangalore: After being out of power for more than seven years in Karnataka, Congress on Monday announced a two month programme from June 15 aimed to connect the party with people at the grassroots level and "inform" them of the BS Yeddyurappa-led government`s series of "failures."

Christined "Congress Nadige - Janara Balige" (Walk by Congress towards people), the initiative will be launched simultaneously in all 224 Assembly segments on Wednesday and carried out for about 60 days, KPCC president G Parameshwara
told reporters here.

The party also brought out a booklet on its contribution
to the nation in the last 125 years and the development
initiated under its Prime Ministers, starting from the regime
of Jawaharlal Nehru.

The party will be organising more than 10,000 public
meetings spanning the state in all gram panchayats, targeting
people of all villages for its campaign, he said.

The principle opposition party in the state has
highlighted scams that has rocked the state BJP government,
including the mystery surrounding the death of the wife of
Raghupathi Bhutt, MLA representing Udupi assembly constituency
in 2008, he said.

Rape charge faced by former minister H Halappa, charges
faced by Sangha Parivar outfits, allegations of corruption
levelled against former minister Ramachandragowda among others
