Controversial godman Nithyananda gets bail

Ramanagar (Karna): Controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda was granted bail by the district executive magistrate on Friday, a day after he was re-arrested on charges of disturbing peace.

Ramanagar Deputy Commissioner Sriram Reddy, also the executive magistrate, passed orders granting bail to Nithyananda on furnishing a bond for Rs 1 lakh and two sureties for like sum and directed him not to disturb peace.

Public Prosecutor Nagaraj Reddy opposed bail for Nithyananda who was arrested on June 13 after he appeared before a court to surrender in an assault case and was yesterday slapped with a fresh case of disturbing peace, leading to his arrest for the second time.

The self-styled godman, already facing criminal charges, including rape and out on bail after his arrest in 2010, courted fresh trouble when police on June 8 booked him and his followers for allegedly assaulting a mediaperson at a press conference at his ashram at nearby Bidadi.

Nithyananda has filed a writ petition in the high court seeking Rs 10 crore as damages to his ashram property from the state government.

Reacting to Nithyananda's petition, Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda today said he would not mind going to jail to safeguard the interests of the people.

"I wouldn't mind going to jail to protect people's interest. I will perform my chief ministerial duty even if there are thousands of cases filed against me," Gowda told reporters in Bangalore.

Gowda said he did not take any decision against Nityananda in haste and did it after collecting details about his activities in the ashram.

The chief minister said he was performing his chief ministerial duties in the interest of the state and not against an individual like Nithyananda or an institution.

Am appalled to see him playing victim. Claiming that those against the surge of spirituality created by him were attacking him and his followers. Comparing himself to Swami Narayan and thus trying to blindside his followers into doing his bidding. To think that not so long ago i was one of them. when he was visiting for a Kalpataru - I was surprised to learn that the green rooms to be occupied by him had to have curtains on all the windows. There were to be connecting rooms and another room for his 1 personal attendant. when the question was raised as to why we had to organise for a public place, these curtains and rooms for the very brief time between sessions- we were told that these were instructions from Ma scahit - a.k.a ragini. So she knew all along about his private sessions when there were tall claims of him floating in and out of samadhi. Niths must have tired of her when she turned into a fat cow but did she ever stop to think of how she was party to ruining so many lives. overcome by greed and power did she put up her own daughters as well while her hubby dear was himself covorting around with other much married women! Oh god, let there be some justice. I pray for and salute Aarti, Vinay and of course Lenin who have sacrificed themselves to the benefit of other poor unassuming souls.

Just because Arthi Rao is fabricating stories to weasal out of illegalities she committed is no reason to abuse others. First you be sure that what Arti is saying is true. Aarthi Rao was a Maayi, the highest title conferred by Nithyananda..You are just one crap foot soldier who will be thrown out like a trash if you ever cross his path..I have his entire ``Living Enlightenment`` book which I used to wipe my rear. Your Guru sucks well...His mouth is attuned to it..Gimme your address and I will mail you the book of you Guru with my Prasad..You can put some in your wife`s Mooladhara and the rest you can shove it in your Mooladhara and also your throat and choke on it...That is Sharing Enlightenment.

Dear Kannan! It`s so pathetic to see your pervert nature. When you are in Bangaluru, why don`t you visit and find the facts on your own instead of depending on foolsih media reports? Media told many items like alcohol, etc found in the ashram. Can anyone give the proof? The fact is till now Police could not find any such items in the ashram.

In side the ashram, there is a Gurukul from class 3rd to class 10th , that`s why there are those boys and girls of that age in the ashram. Please don`t speculate without knowing the facts. Please ask a question to know. Don`t make a judgement without an honest enquiry. You will mess up your own personal life if you are running your without an honest enquiry.

The ahshram is to throughly investigated by CBI, why the 50 girsl of aged 10-15yrs are available in the asharam. is Nitayandam is selling these girls to soudi or taking their kidnesy livers eyes etc., and selling.We request u to handover the case to CBI and vide publicity is to be given for thies illegal things done by the ashram people, with whose support he did all these illegal things

There is a gurukul in the ashram where kids of all ages study. You are a scoundrel to even suggest anything untoward about these kids or Nithyananda. You do not know anything about him or what he does or what the ashram is about, but you suggest something ugly with impunity. Nithyananda has already asked the CBI to take over the case since the CID and the local police and politicians are playing with their lives. If there is a any superior power that runs this whole universe, it should suitably punish you for the ugliness you have said.

Without knowing any thing about the Gurukul and its activities, don’t speculate you own imaginations in public. As a responsible and intelligent Citizen of India I myself put my kids in Gurukul. They are studying extremely well with high IQ of Vedic knowledge in this modern world. As a parent we know what is happening there. You need not educate any body by making all nonsensical comments. Excuse please, Kannan, these wild allegations have no connection with any reality outside someone`s fevered imagination. What 50 girls can you be talking about? There are young people both boys and girls in the Gurukul, who are residential and in good health, neither disappearing to be sold nor disappearing to have surgeries. Such nonsense you are talking, it is very distressing. As a long-term volutnteer teacher and free-clinic medical manager, I assure you no such activities as you describe have ever taken place at Bidadi ashram. Certainly ``wide publicity`` has already been given to many false allegations reg: Nithyananda Swami, so making such a request is redundant. Please get your facts clear Sir.
