Ex-Karnataka minister KJ George cleared in Ganapathy suicide case

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka KJ George was on Saturday given a clean chit by the state police in Deputy SP Ganapathy suicide case, a media report said.

KJ George is a former Bengaluru Development and Town Planning minister.

Besides KJ George, two other top police officials, AM Prasad and Pranab Mohanty were also cleared of charges, news18.com reported.

The CID has reportedly submitted its report on Saturday morning to Madikeri court.

Director General of Police CID, Kishore Chandra told CNN- News 18 that "There is no clear evidence against any of the three accused in the Ganapathy suicide case and the report was submitted this morning."

Meanwhile, Ganapathy's family has moved Karnataka High court and asked for a CBI probe. The case is likely to be heard next week, the report said.
