Bangalore: Four persons of a family were
shot at and injured by a gang today near Itnal village in
Belgaum district, about 500 km from here, police said.
The injured have been hospitalised and are out of danger,
they said.
The victims were proceeding in a jeep to Chikodi to appear
before a court in an assault case when a gang in a van
intercepted their vehicle, opened fire and escaped, police
said.
Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the
attack, the said.
