Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday
ordered issue of notice to the state chief secretary on a writ
petition filed by former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa
challenging the sanction accorded for his prosecution by
Governor HR Bhardwaj on private complaints relating to land
scams.
When the petition came up, a division bench comprising
justices Ajit Gunjal and B V Nagarathna ordered issue of
notice and adjourned further hearing of the plea to August 25.
On July 25, the court had directed Yeddyurappa to file
the necessary application to implead the state government as
the party in the writ petition.
