IAF chief tells commanders to focus on training

IAF chief, Air Marshal Arup Raha here on Monday urged the force's commanders to focus on training and trainers for preserving air assets and team building.

Bengaluru: IAF chief, Air Marshal Arup Raha here on Monday urged the force's commanders to focus on training and trainers for preserving air assets and team building.

"You need to enhance the quality of training and maintenance to keep pace with technological advancements. Improve training infrastructure to preserve air assets and team building," said Raha at the two-day station commanders conference comprising chiefs of flying, technical and non-technical training establishments.

He also interacted with air warriors and civilian staff of the Training Command's headquarters after inspecting a guard of honour.

Training Command's chief, Air Marshal SRK Nair received Raha and Lily Raha, President of Air Force Wives Welfare Association, on their arrival.

Later, Lily Raha chaired the Association's board of management meeting and reviewed the welfare measures taken by the command.
