JDS leader murdered, body recovered in Mangalore

Mangalore: The body of a JDS leader who had been allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants has been found yesterday at Permude near Mangalore Refiners and Petroleum company gate, police said on Monday.
Gourish Putran, President of JDS Hoige Bazar fisheries wing had been found missing since Dec 22 and his family lodged police complaint.

Jewellery worth Rs five lakh which Putran had on his person was found missing, police said.

Police suspect that the victim had been murdered elsewhere and miscreants dumped the body near buses at Permude.

An investigation is on, police said.
