K’ taka CM seeks opposition support to run session

Karnataka CM DV Sadananada Gowda sought cooperation of opposition Congress and JDS for smooth the functioning of the 10-day legislature session.

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananada Gowda today sought cooperation of opposition
Congress and JDS for smooth the functioning of the 10-day
legislature session beginning tomorrow.

"... Without Opposition`s cooperation smooth functioning of
the session is not possible ... Opposition parties should
extend cooperation ...," he told reporters on the sidelines of
the inauguration of "Chitra Santhe", an art event organised by
Karataka Chitrakala Parishath here.

Gowda said because of the support extended by the
opposition, the government was able to conduct the last
session smoothly. "This will bring honour not only to the
ruling party, but also Opposition paries," he said.
