Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court Monday dismissed a writ petition challenging the acquisition of land
for constructing Metro rail station at South End circle here.
The petition was filed by a private firm S K Enterprises
and seven others.
The petitioners contended that they should have been called
for negotiations after acquisition of land.
Counsel for Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited,
Sumona Baligar, however, submitted that since it was the
second round of litigation, (the first having been dismissed
at the High Court and subsequently by Supreme Court) "it is
barred by res judicata" (petition having reached the stage of
finality) and petition was accordingly dismissed by Justice
B V Nagarathna.
