Bangalore: Vatal Nagaraj, leader of a Kannada organisation, on Sunday led a protest over lack of adequate public toilets and displayed a variety of commodes.

Nagaraj, a former MLA, said people, particularly women in rural areas, often face problems due to lack of public toilets and his protest was to draw the government's attention to set the situation right.

Nagaraj, known to rope in animals during his protest, also brought in a buffalo to symbolise the "thick skinned" nature of the government, which he said had not responded to the demand.
