Karachi: Pakistani left-arm spinner Raza Hasan has said that he is not concerned that he has been dropped down the pecking order in the team with Abdur Rehman and Zulfiqar Babar the first picks as he does not view the duo as either a competition or a threat to him.
Earmarked as a bowler with a bright future right from the beginning of his career, Hasan, a bowler with a variety of tricks, has however, only managed to make seven appearances for Pakistan despite impressive performances particularly for his domestic sides. According to www.PakPassion.net, despite his limited appearances, Hasan said that he does see himself competing against anyone and is not threatened by the fact that Babar and Rehman have replaced him in the pecking order as he is concerned with improving his own performances and impressing the selectors. Hasan further said that Rehman and Babar are both excellent spinners in their own right and whenever he sees them, they always discuss tactics and technical aspects of cricket which benefits all of them, adding that any professional rivalry between them is a natural part of being a player.
