New Delhi: With the government not willing to move an inch and yoga guru Baba Ramdev appearing firm on his crusade against corruption and black money, revered seer from Karnataka Swami Vishwesha Teertha has reportedly offered to mediate between the two sides.
Vishwesha Teertha, who is also the spiritual guru of firebrand BJP leader Uma Bharti, has told the government that he is willing to offer his services to break the deadlock between the two parties on the issue, if the same is agreeable to those concerned.
As per reports, Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has also backed his endeavor to cut the ice between the two agitating sides.
The government is yet to respond to the proposal made by Swami Vishwesh Tirth.
The offer come hours after Baba Ramdev announced that he was ready to hold talks with government on all vexed issues if duly approached.
The yoga guru also pardoned the UPA government for the crackdown on his satyagraha at the Ramlila Ground in Delhi on the intervening night of June 5-6.
The apex court and the National Human Rights Commission have taken strong cognizance of the police crackdown and have sought a report.
