Bangalore: Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde on Tuesday expressed displeasure over the BJP government ordering a judicial probe into land scam allegations faced by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa even as the matter is before him.

"Under Lokayukta Act Rule 12 schedule(D), it is mandatory for the state government to inform it whenever it orders such an enquiry on an issue which is already before the agency," he told reporters when asked for his reaction to the appointment of High Court Judge B Padmaraj to head the judicial probe.

"So far the government has not communicated any decision in this regard to us," Hegde said.

However the Lokayukta would continue its probe into the complaint of the Janata Dal(S) about irregularities in land denotification by BDA, he said.

JDS has filed a complaint seeking probe into 78 cases of land denotification by Bangalore Development Authority ordered by Yeddyurappa, including eight cases favouring his relatives.
