Raichur: A three-member gang
looted an amount of almost Rs two lakh from passengers
travelling in three coaches of Nagercoil Express in the wee
hours on Friday, police said.
The incident took place between Wadi and Krishna railway
stations, they said, adding that the gang robbed the
passengers of S1, S2 and S3 coaches of the train.
The robbers, who boarded from Wadi at about 1 AM, took
cash and other valuables of about 25 passengers at knife point
and fled, they said.
One of the robbed passengers, Jagadish, lodged a
complaint with the Railway police here, they added.
