Ranchi: Hinting that there would be no change of leadership in BJP in Karnataka as was being demanded by supporters of BS Yeddyurappa, senior leader Rajnath Singh on Sunday said there was 'no vacancy' there.

‘Where is the vacancy’ DV Sadananda Gowda is our chief minister in Karnataka,? Singh told a press conference here in reply to a query whether there would be a leadership change in Karnataka.

Yeddyurappa had yesterday said in Bangalore that he would not attend the May 24 BJP national executive in Mumbai.

Though he did not to comment on Yeddyurappa praising AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Singh, dismissed any threat to unity in BJP following Yeddyurappa’s actions.

BJP is the only party in the country which has no vertical splits seen in Congress and Communist parties, which had up to six vertical splits (in the past). BJP believes in democracy and is not a party of one individual or one family or a private limited company, he added.
