Bangalore: Notorious criminal Rashid Malbari will be questioned for three days or more if required, a top police official said on Saturday.
Rashid Malbari was brought here from Mangalore Jail by the City Crime Branch yesterday, Commissioner of Police Bangalore City, Jyothiprakash Mirji told reporters here.
Bangalore police had sought Malbari's custody in connection with a case involving rowdy activities in Shivaji Nagar police station limits, he said.
Malbari, a close associate of underworld don Chota Shakeel, has been lodged in Mangalore Jail since April 2009, for his alleged involvement in a number of extortion cases and kidnapping.
