Bangalore: Around 70 women, belonging to Congress and some NGOs, were detained after they held protest outside BJP office here on Saturday demanding removal of three former ministers from the membership of state Assembly over porn clipping controversy.

The protesting women were briefly detained for raising slogans and causing inconvenience to the public in front of the BJP office in Malleswaram, police said.

BJP Ministers Laxman Savadi and C C Patil had resigned on February 8 after they were caught allegedly watching a porn clipping on mobile phone during House proceedings.

Another minister, Krishna Palemar, also resigned for allegedly providing the obscene clippings to Savadi.
