Three held for threating to kill K`taka minister

Three youths were arrested here today for allegedly threatening to kill a Karnataka minister, police said.

here today for allegedly threatening to kill a Karnataka
minister, police said.

The youth were nabbed from Raichur area here, they said.

According to police, on April 11, six persons came in a
car to the resident of Health Minister B Sreeramulu, a mining
magnet, in Havambhavi area and threatened his security guard
that they will eliminate the minister.

After a verbal duel and an alleged fisticuff with the
security guard Mareppa, the men fled.

Sreeramulu was not at home when the incident occurred.
However, Mareppa lodged a complaint with the Cowl Bazaar
police on April 13 about the incident, following which the
police began investigations leading to the arrest of the trio.

Meanwhile, Sreeramulu told reporters here today that "a
mafia gang" was behind the incident.
