Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday declined to order any probe into the Rs 27 crore donations received by a trust run by his sons even as Opposition parties insisted on a CBI investigation and demanded his resignation.

Replying to a debate on the issue in the Legislative Council, Yeddyurappa reiterated that there was no illegality in Jindal Steels and Adarsha Developers making donations to Prerana Education and Social Trust, in which his sons, BY Raghavendra, an MP and BY Vijendra, are trustees.

Opposition Congress leader Motamma and MC Nanaiah of JDS alleged that donations were paid to the trust by the steel firm and also the real estate developers for the government favours shown to them and demanded a CBI inquiry and Yeddyurappa's resignation.
