30 sovereign gold looted from temple

People had alerted the Muchilot Devi temple authorities on
finding the door to the sanctum sanctorum broken open early
this morning.

They also decamped with Rs 25,000 in cash after breaking
open the cash box inside the temple, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the
burglary, they added.
