Kochi: Another case of an alleged rape of
a minor school girl has come to light in Kerala in the
statement made by the 15-year-old victim of the Kothamangalam
In her deposition before police, the young victim had
stated that another girl of her age and studying in the same
school had also been allegedly raped.
"The contents of the case diary reveals a shocking
incident. From the deposition of the victim, it has come to
light that another girl of her age, studying in the same
school, has been raped and ravaged by many persons including
her classmates," Ernakulam sessions court judge B Kemal Pasha
noted in his judgement while dismissing the bail applications
of three accused in the Kothamangalam sex case.
Thirteen accused, including the girl`s father, have
been arrested so far in the Kothamangalam case.
The bail applications of three accused -- Najeeb,
Shahul Hameed and Barham were dismissed by the court.
The court had yesterday criticised the Crime Branch
team investigating the Paravoor case in which 100 odd men are
alleged to have raped a minor girl stating that it was trying
to protect a police official involved in the crime.
The case diary had revealed that a doctor of a local
hospital along with the police officer and another man had
allegedly raped the minor girl together at a flat at nearby
Pachalam, the court said.
