Assembly polls: Oommen Chandy files papers

Congress-led UDF`s chief ministerial probable Oommen Chandy filed nomination for the April 13 Kerala Assembly polls.

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress-led UDF`s
chief ministerial probable Oommen Chandy on Saturday filed
nomination for the April 13 Kerala Assembly polls.

The 68-year old former Chief Minister is seeking
re-election from his home turf Puthupally Assembly
constituency in Kottayam district for the eighth time in a
row.
The Congress leader filed papers before Block
Development Officer at Pallickelthodu in Pampadi. CPI-M`s
Women`s Association leader Suja Susan George is the LDF
candidate against Chandy.
Communist Marxist Party leader M V Raghavan filed
papers from Nemmara segment in Palakkad district.
Sitting MLA V Chenthamarakshan (CPI-M) is the LDF
candidate against Raghavan.

PTI
