Kochi: Two Bangalore blast case accused T
Nazeer and Shafaz were on Sunday brought from Karnataka amid tight
security and produced before the CBI Special court, hearing
NIA terror cases.
The two were produced in the Kozhikode twin blast case
of 2006 and sent to Viyoor central jail.
Following submission by Nazeer, an alleged LeT militant,
that he feared for his life in Kerala jails and should be sent
back to bangalore, Special court judge S Vijay Kumar, directed
the jail authorities to provide necessary protection to both
the accused. The court also directed that the two should not

The NIA had earlier submitted that they were unable to
produce them due to security reasons as they do not have
Two other accused were also produced in the case.
The case has been posted to Dec 2 when the trial in the case
NIA had filed chargesheet against 8 accused in the case on
Aug 2 this year, listing T Nazeer as the first accused.
Two of the accused who are abscounding have been declared as
proclaimed offenders. While one of the accused was killed in
an encounter with security forces while trying to cross the
Indo-Pakistan border for getting arms training in Pakistan,
another had later turned approver.
The case relates to twin bomb blasts in Kozhikode-- at
KSRTC bus stand and at a Mofussil bus stand in which twp
policemen and a porter were injured.
