Malappuram: Leader of Opposition, Oommen
Chandy, resumed the `Kerala Mochana Yatra`, which was
suspended owing to the tragic stampede at Pullmedu in
Sabarimala, in which 102 Ayyappa devotees were killed, from
nearby Perinthalmanna, Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandy said the CPI(M)-led Left
Democratic Front (LDF) government had failed in all sectors.
The LDF government was clinging on to power by betraying the
people, he alleged.
The yatra will end at Tirur this evening and would enter
Palakkad district tomorrow.
Among those present at the function included Congress
deputy leader G Karthikeyan, IUML Kerala unit general
secretary PK Kunhalikutty and JSS leader Rajan Babu.
The yatra was flagged-off from Uppala in Kasargod
district by KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala on January 10.
