`Changes will take place in CPI(M) after bypoll`

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President, Ramesh Chennithala on Monday claimed that there will be changes in CPI-M after the bypoll to the Neyyattinkara Assembly constituency.

Kasargod (Ker): Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President, Ramesh Chennithala on Monday claimed that there will be changes in CPI-M after the bypoll to the Neyyattinkara Assembly constituency.

"After the bypoll, either leader of opposition VS Achuthanandan or CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will remain in the CPI(M)," he told reporters at Trikkaripur.

Later, the Chennithala-led `Sneha Sandesh Yatra`, which began from Hosangadi on May 10, with the objective of creating awareness and restoring communal harmony in Kasargod district, concluded at Trikkarippur.

Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, who was present, said there should stringent punishment for the culprits responsible for communal problems.

Kasargod district had been witnessing communal clashes during the last few weeks and the yatra was organised to restore communal harmony in the district.

Those who spoke included Kerala Home minister, Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan and AICC General Secretary Madhusoodhan Mistry, who looks after Kerala affairs.
