Thiruvanathapuram: Seat-sharing talks by the
Congress with its ally JSS led by KR Gowry Amma on Thursday
failed to arrive at a settlement with later insisting on
five seats for the party to contest in April 13 assembly
polls.

A round of discussion held by KPCC President Ramesh
Chennithala and the UDF Convener P P Thanckachan with
Gowry Amma also could not reach any conclusion on the
segments to be allotted to the JSS.

After the talks, Thanckachan said a final decision on
seat sharing with all UDF partners could be completed by
March 10.

JSS was the first UDF partner with which the congress began
its bilateral talks on seat sharing.

Talks with major allies like IUML and Kerala Congress (M)
faction would be held in the coming days.
