Payyannoor (Ker): CPI(M) on Saturday said a
microchip was found inside the hall where the party's district
conference is being held here in Kannur district, claiming it
had been placed by a mediaperson to tap the proceedings in the
meeting.
Kannur District CPI(M) Secretary, P Jayarajan, said the
microchip had been found yesterday by the party volunteers
after the inauguration of the three-day conference. He added
that the person who had placed it "had escaped" and had not
come to the venue today for reporting the proceedings.
The microchip has been handed over for verification, he
said.
