Erode: A 14-year-old female elephant died in a fight with a male elephant in Thalamalai forest area, officials said Thursday.
The carcass was found with injuries by a patrol team yesterday, N Sathish, District Forest Officer, Sathyamangalam, said.
No foul play was suspected, he said, adding, after autopsy, the carcass was buried in the same area.
