Malappuram: Marking beginning of this season's Haj Pilgrimage, a Saudi Airlines flight carrying 300 pilgrims from Kerala was flagged-off by E Ahamed, Union Minister of State for External Affairs from Karippur International airport
on Thursday.
About 8602 pilgrims from Kerala, Lakshadweep island and
Mahe would make the pilgrimage this season from Karippur,
sources said.
About 27 flights, each with a seating capacity of 300 will
carry the pilgrims till October 15.
