Thrissur: Kerala Chief Mnister VS Achuthanandan on Saturday said the Gujarat model of development would not be
replicated in the state as it involved bequathing soil,
water and real estate proeprties to business interests.
The state`s precious land would not be left for the real

Achuthanandan said he would only felt pity for those who
insisted on removing mangroves and reclaiming water-logged
areas in the name of development.

The software export from Kerala had gone up to Rs 3200
crore from Rs 630 crore during the period and the basic
inrastructure development in the Techno Park and Infoparks
had gone up to 105 lakh sq ft area from 19 lakh sq ft area, he

briskly with a view to providing gainful employment to over
1.25 lakh persons and with the completion of the Infopark`s
proposed development in the State, it would be one of the
largest Infoparks of the world.
