Thiruvananthapuram: The re-polling at two booths in Kerala concluded Saturday and over 11,000 Kerala police personnel kept a vigil on 20,875 electronic voting machines (EVMs) used in the assembly poll earlier this week, officials said.

The re-poll at a booth each in Chalakudy and Pattambi assembly constituencies got over at 5 pm, election officials said.

It was ordered after complaints of irregularities during Wednesday`s polling in 140 constituencies, they said.

The EVMs, kept at 63 centres in 14 districts, would be used for counting of votes May 13.

Apart from police, a special flying squad of the election department would also monitor the centres where the EVMS were kept, they said.
