Kochi: The Kerala government submitted a 10- point agenda on development to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here Wednesday.
Singh, who arrived here yesterday on a two-day state visit, met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and state ministers at around 8 PM tonight to discuss various issues relating to Kerala.
Industries minister P K Kunhalikutty and Finance Minister K M Mani later told reporters the Prime Minister had agreed to favourably consider the development agenda put forth by the state.
Union ministers from Kerala - A K Antony and K V Thomas, Prime Minister`s Advisor T K A Nair and State Planning Board member K M Chandrasekhar were among those present.
The ministers also apprised Singh about the state`s long pending demand and delay in getting central clearance for various projects.
All state ministers were present at the 20 minute meeting.
Earlier, the Prime Minister released Finance Minister K M Mani`s book `Beyond Communism: The theory of Toiling class`.
Central University of Kerala Vice-Chancellor Jancey James, Cardinal Mar George Alanchery, four cadets of the Student Police and students from the National Institute of Speech and hearing met the Prime Minister.
