Kozhikode: Many a railway project in Kerala is
getting delayed due to lack of coordinated efforts by various
agencies, Minister of State for Railways E Ahamed said today.

Many projects taken up by Railways in Kerala could not be
completed within stipulated timeframe due to lack of
coordination among various agencies involved in such works,
Ahamed said here.

Very often people tend to blame the railway for failing to
execute projects in time bound manner. The situation could be
tackled only with close coordination of various agencies
concerned, Ahamed said, inaugurating the reservation and
ticketing counter complex at Kozhikode railway station here.

Ahmed said the tri-weekly Kannur-Yaswantpur express via
Shoranur would operate its daily service from tomorrow,
fulfilling the long standing demand of the travelling public
from North Kerala to Bangalore.
