Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court Thursday adjourned till August 3, hearing of the anticipatory bail plea of Kerala People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Naseer Madani, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore blasts.

When the case came up for hearing before Justice N Ananda, Public Prosecutor H S Chandramouli sought some more time to file objections.

The judge then adjourned hearing of the plea to August 3.

On July 9, a fast track court had dismissed Madani's anticipatory bail plea on the grounds that there was "no prima facie case" to grant him anticipatory bail.

Madani, along with 31 others, was chargesheeted for his alleged involvement in the blasts on July 25 2008 here, that left a woman dead and 20 others injured.
