Malayalam actor Kayva returns to vote after leaving poll booth

Kochi: Popular Malayalam actor Kavya
Madhavan, who had to initially returned without casting her
vote after trying to jump queue at a polling booth here,
exercised her franchise shortly before polling came to a close on Wednesday.

The actor, who did not forget to stand in the queue this
time, said this was the first time she was exercising her
voting right.
Earlier in the day, Kavya, accompanied by her parents, had
headed straight for the voting room without joining the queue
following which a voter protested the actor`s behaviour.

After an exchange of words with the man who protested,
Kavya had returned without voting.

Kavya, who entered Malayalam film industry as a child
actor, is well known for her roles in `Meesa Madhavan,`
`Mizhe Randilum` and `Perumazhakallam`.
