Thiruvananthapuram: Police arrested a man for breaching security after he tried to force himself towards Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan while he was delivering a speech at a function here.
The man, identified as Manoharan, tried to move towards the stage where Achuthanandan was delivering a speech at a function organised by Non-Resident Keralites Affairs
However, police immediately caught and whisked him away from the venue.
A case has been registered against him on charges of disturbing public function, police said.
According to Manoharan, he was cheated by one of his relatives while working in the Gulf. Though, he lodged a complaint with Non-Resident Keralities Affairs Department, no action was taken, and he wanted to drew the Chief Minister`s attention to his plight, police said.
