Kochi: 16 contestants will walk the ramp
and vie for the `Miss South India` crown here on November 6.

5 of the contestants are from Kerala, 5 from Tamil
Nadu, 4 from Karnataka and 2 from Andhra Pradesh, the
organisers Pegasus said in a press release here.

The grooming sessions, comprising yoga, meditation,
personality development, catwalk and beauty tips, began on Nov
3 to help the contestants enhance their strengths and overcome
weaknesses, it said.

An expert panel of fashion choreographers and trainers -
Arun Ratna Fashion Runway, Sameer Khan Elite Model management;
Valentina Mishra Valen`s Model Management, Jayagopal
Personality Development trainer and Jaison Paulson Jaison of
`Fitness First` are grooming the girls.

The winner will get a gold plated crown and a cash prize
of Rs 1 Lakh, the first runner up Rs 50,000 worth of gifts
and second runner up Rs 25,000 worth of gifts, the release
said.

The 4 rounds in the contest will be the designer saree
round, Casuals, Black & black and Linen wear, designed by
famous NRI fashion designer Sajimon Parayil.

Former Miss India and actress Swetha Vijay, Tamil actress
Aditi Chibber, Telugu Actor Kaushal Prasad, famous model Simer
Mottiani and famous model groomer Manish Khullar are among
those who will judge the event, being directed by Ajith Ravi
PEGASUS, Founder and Chairman, the release said.

"We don`t charge a penny from contestants. It`s a training
school for them, where we mould the bold and beautiful to be
pageant winners. This year we have decided to bear the
expenses of heart surgeries of 2 kids at a hospital here,"
Ajit Ravi, said.
