Kochi: Kerala High Court on Thursday admitted a
Public Interest Litigation seeking appointment of a Special
Investigation Team to probe into alleged illegal encroachments
in the hill resort town of Munnar.
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Jasti
Chelameswar and Justice P R Raman issued notice to the state
government and other respondents.
The PIL was filed by an organisation called Justicia
The petitioner also sought a survey and demarcation of
land at Munnar.
