Thiruvananthapuram: In a minor shuffle of civil servants, Kerala Government on Thursday posted new collectors for eight districts.

Those who are getting new postings as head of district administrations are: K N Satheesh (Kasargode), Anand Sing (Kannur), P M Francis (Mlappuram), P G Thomas (Thrissur), Sheikh Pareed (Ernakulam), M C Mohandas (Idukki), Dr Raveendran (Pathanamthita) and S Lalithambika (Kollam).

The new postings for those who are shifted from the districts would be announed later, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told reporters after a Cabinet meeting.
In another decision, the government decided to sanction 180 days of maternity leave for women employees in public sector undertakings. The benefit would be applicable in PSUs coming under the ambit of State Service Rules.
To fill the backlog of quota for physically handicapped in government jobs, the cabinet decided to reserve 246 posts in for those eligible under this category.
