A Vigilance Court here rejected a petition seeking a probe against Kerala CM Oommen Chandy and KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala.

Thiruvananthapuram: A Vigilance Court here on Tuesday rejected a petition seeking a probe against Kerala Chief
Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala
in connection with alleged irregularities in setting up a
waste treatment plant in 2006.

Dismissing the petition filed by a former employee, Judge
P K Haneefa observed that two probes were already on and that
the petitioner could hand over the documents he had to the
investigation team.
The decision to set up the Rs 250 crore plant for
state-run Travancore Titanium Products Ltd here was taken by
the UDF government headed by Chandy in 2006.
The petitioner had prayed that the court include Chandy,
Chennithala and senior officers as accused in the case, based
on certain documents in his possession.
