Thiruvananthapuram: Rain occurred at a
few places in Kerala and at isolated places in Lakshadweep.
Chief amounts of rainfall reports in cm are Kayamkulam 6,
Kanjirappally and Mamkompu 5 each. Minicoy and Mavelikkara 4
each. Harippad, Kumarakom and Varkala 3 each. Another 10
stations reported 1-2 cm rainfall.
According to meteorology sources here, Alappuzha, CIAL
Kochi and Kottayam recorded the lowest minimum temperature of
21 degree celsius.
Forecast valid until the morning of January 3, rain or
thunder showers will occur at many places in Lakshadweep and
at a few places in Kerala.
Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rainfall will
occur in Lakshadweep during next 48 hours.
Strong winds from from South-easternly direction,
speed occasionally reaching 45-55 KMPH is likely along off
Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep area during next 24 hours.
Outlook for subsequent two days (4-5) no significant change.
