Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress-led UDF
government in Kerala Monday claimed that it ensured transparency in governance as announced in its 100-day
programme.

As part of this endeavour, live streaming of the CMO and a 24x7 call centre there were introduced, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said in a statement here.

The government, which assumed charge on May 18 after
wresting power from CPI-M led LDF in the assembly polls, had
on June one announced its 100-day action programme.

Another major achievement of the government was the launch
of Rs one per kg rice scheme for BPL and a section of APL
category, the statement said.

Publication of assets of officials and ministers and making government orders online were also part of the programme to ensure corruption-free administration, it said.
Most of the things mentioned in the action plan were
executed, it said.

Revival of SmartCity IT project in Kochi in association
with Dubai based TECOM Investments Ltd, progress in developing
Vizhinjam International Container Terminal and Metro Rail
scheme in Kochi were some of the other initiates of the UDF in
its first days in office, the statement said.
